About the Role
We are currently focused on tokenizing publicly traded securities, particularly focused on cash equivalents (e.g. money market funds, US treasuries, etc.). When investors invest with us, we in turn invest that money into these traditional asset types and then tokenize investors exposure to them. This means that, in addition to our blockchain expertise, part of our operational needs are very similar to that of a traditional investment manager: trade management, service provider relations, book reconciliation, audit, tax, and regulatory compliance, and the like.
We’re looking for a VP of Investment Operations with deep experience in these traditional functions who also has experience in — or at least is interested in learning — blockchain, crypto, and defi to help us build world-class investment operations.

    • No Major Problems. There are no significant operational snafus that materially impact either the client experience or Ondo’s reputation (including regulatory and security).
    • Pristine, Up-to-Date Records & Reporting. All books and records for all our investment products are consistently correct, reconciled, and up to date. Such books and records include, but are not limited to, investor accounts and wallets, fund and share class NAV and NAV per share/token, yield and fee accruals and disbursements. All tax, audit, compliance, and other requiring forms and filings are consistently up to date.
    • Clear, Timely, and Accessible Communication. Relevant information is consistently and accurately communicated on time to all relevant parties as needed (for example, price and yield numbers listed on our website). Analytics and reporting regarding our investment products and operations is easily accessible to internal stakeholders, clear, up-to-date, and visually pleasing. Internally, Investment Operation priorities and activities and well understood by the appropriate members of other teams.
    • Clear (and Met) SLAs. New deposits and redemptions are handled accord to agreed-upon processes and procedures and happy and occur according to agreed-upon SLAs.
    • Rapid and Flawless Operationalization of New Products. New investment products (and new iterations on existing products) are launched faster than most people would think possible while still operating without visible hiccup or issue.
    • Detailed, Clear, Consistently Up-To-Date Process Documentation. All processes are fully documented (with up to date documentation). Each process clearly indicates who is responsible for the design / architecture, day-to-day oversight, and day-to-day running and support of each process. Such processes are operationalized in checklists used daily by the team.
    • Effective, Efficient, Secure, and Compliant Investment Operations. Clear redundancy and escalation policies, procedures, and systems are in place to support all our products and services. Business continuity plans are robust, well planned, and consistently up to date. Security permissions are thoughtful, appropriately balance efficiency and security, are approved by our security committee, and are up-to-date. There is consistency between our operational checklists, internal policies, legal and marketing documents provided to investors, what is required by law and/or regulation, and what we actually do every day.
    • Internal Team Effectiveness. Individuals within the investment operations team are engaged, effective, efficient, and productive. Roles and responsibilities are clear. The team knows where to find information, what the goals and priorities are. New hires are hired and onboarded efficiently and effectively. High performers are appropriately retained. Low performers are appropriately coached or let go. The team works together harmoniously.
    • Strong Stakeholder Effectiveness. The interface and relationships between the Investment Operations team and its stakeholders – including outside service providers as well as other Ondo teams – is effective and harmonious.
    • KPIs Appropriately Set and Maintained. Key operational KPIs related to SLAs, error and flow, internal and external stakeholder satisfaction, and operational efficiency exceed peer-group benchmarks.
Your Responsibilities Will Include…
    • Buildout and Management of Investment Operations Team. Plan for, hire, and manage the investment operations team, including investment operations managers, associates, investment accountants, investment compliance personnel, consultants, and related parties. Appropriately balance between maintaining appropriate excess capacity for redundancy and agility and maintaining cost efficiency.
    • Being the “Hands On” Second Layer of Defense. Get involved in the details of any issue or process that needs senior leadership or rapid resolution.
    • Client & Regulator Communications. Be the face of the investment operations team to clients and regulators. This involves both attendance and presentation in meetings, but also in written communications (including, but not limited to, customer support materials, marketing materials, and customer diligence questionnaires)
    • Process Development, Management, and Improvement. Work closely with product, engineering, compliance, and other teams to design robust and clear operational processes and then monitor to ensure adherence, updating procedures as necessary. When things go wrong, as appropriate conduct root-cause analysis and make process changes.
    • Interdepartmental Communication and Relations. Work with other department leaders to ensure clear delineations of responsibilities between teams and ensure effective, harmonious relations between teams.
    • KPIs and Reporting. Design, inspect, and manage reporting across all investment products.
    • Audit, Tax, and Compliance Management: Ensure that all investment operations are compliant with all relevant regulations and internal policies. Ensure are appropriate registrations, filings, and reports are completed and submitted on time.
    • Risk & Security Management: identifying and managing operational risks associated with investment operations. This includes setting and managing authorizations and permission levels for personnel for all activities related to investment operations. Ensure business continuity plans and other plans are thorough and up to date.
    • Technology and Data Management: overseeing the use of technology and data management systems to support investment operations, including compliance, risk, accounting, etc.
    • (Likely) Building and Managing a Global a 24/7/365 Investment Operations Function. Design and buildout of an investment operations team that can support 24/7/365 oversight of our systems and operations (e.g. investments, redemptions, bridging, etc.)

Who You Are:

The Head of Regulatory Reporting Swap Dealer will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and developing Galaxy’s swap dealer financial and regulatory reporting framework for swap dealer activities. The swap dealer is a direct subsidiary of Galaxy Digital L.P. and sits within the sales and trading team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure compliance with all swap dealer financial regulatory requirements (ie CFTC, NFA).
  • As the head of the US regulatory group, oversee daily and monthly regulatory filings including daily capital computations. Review position, margin and counterparty reports.
  • Monthly analysis and review of legal entity balance sheet and income statement including detailed review of balance sheet reconciliations. Evaluate new products, services and business initiatives from regulatory finance perspective, to ensure proper setup and that issues are identified and addressed.
  • Develop and enhance the existing processes including understanding data flows in order to lead automation efforts.
  • Create, update and maintain process documentation and procedures.
  • Financial point person on regulatory examinations.
  • Serve as a point of contact and manage relationships with the regulators and external auditors.
  • Laisse with other teams within the swap dealer, such as Legal, Compliance, Risk, Operations, and IT to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 10 years of work experience with significant experience at a related regulatory agency or in a swap dealer controller capacity role.
  • Strong product knowledge and regulatory experience within the OTC derivatives and swap dealer businesses.
  • Experience with the implementation and execution of swap dealer regulatory function.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting

Role focus:

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Operations Assistant to support our Operations team, and help manage our London office.

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Audit Director to join our global Internal Audit team. In this critical role, you will provide expert guidance and leadership in the field of IT audit and be responsible for coordinating audit activities across the Asia-Pacific region, including the planning, executing and reporting of independent and objective assessments of our company’s IT governance, infrastructure, databases, operating systems, applications and processes. Reporting to the global Head of Internal Audit, you will be pivotal in ensuring the integrity, security, and compliance of the IT systems and processes. Responsibilities

– Assist in the development and execution of risk-based internal audit plans.

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field; a relevant master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA, or CISSP) is a plus.

– Minimum of 8 years of IT audit experience with 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably within the cryptocurrency, technology, fintech, or financial services sectors.

– Broad audit experience across various areas of IT

About The Role

Key Responsibilities of the role

  • Ensure that all activities of the organisation comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Your experience, skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred
  • Proven experience in a compliance role, preferably within a financial services or digital assets company.
  • In depth understanding of HK regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and practices.

About the Role

21Shares US is eager to hire a Capital Markets Specialist to provide support 21Shares ETF in the US markets by working with Market participants to enhance the 21Shares ETF trading ecosystem. 21Shares launched a suite of ETF in the US in partnership with Ark in November 2023, on top of the pending application for a Spot Bitcoin ETF. This is a mid-level role.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Providing ETF surveillance by monitoring day-to-day market quality of ETF products including volume, primary flows, spreads.
  • Working closely with market participants, APs, LMMs and MMs on their activity and liaising with operations teams at 21Shares.
  • Educating market participants on products, primary market, and trading.
  • Identify trades and trends in the market to support internal stakeholders.
  • Assist the team with various requests from Authorized Participants, Market Makers, clients, and sales team.
  • Assisting clients in achieving efficient execution when trading ETFs.
  • Assisting in the launch of new products, ensuring strong execution and stakeholder management.

Desired Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant ETF experience.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • A strong interest in exchanges traded funds, financial markets and cryptocurrency.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to drive results and operate independently.

This role is based in New York City and will be expected to work from our New York office in a hybrid model Monday – Wednesday.

About the Opportunity:
The successful candidate will have prior AML transaction monitoring and investigations experience in the financial services, FinTech or cryptocurrency industries. You will help detect unusual activity, suspicious/illegal behaviors and patterns, as well as assist in
projects focused on preventing and detecting financial crimes. As part of the AML Investigations team, you’ll be be responsible for conducting a variety of tasks such as investigations, conducting enhanced due diligence, preparing narrative information for SAR filings, and
participating in ad-hoc projects as needed. You will utilize internal and external investigative resources and apply logical research techniques.

What You’ll be Doing:

  • Conduct thorough investigations on users’ account activities as a result of transaction monitoring alerts.
  • Where appropriate, facilitate Requests for Information (RFIs) with cross-functional staff in the investigation of transaction monitoring cases.
  • Conduct research using internal and external sources to help determine potentially suspicious activity and disposition of adverse news.
  • Make determinations and recommend escalation decisions on cases investigated.
  • Create, update and maintain files and records related to all supporting information used during investigation.
  • Prepare SAR materials and draft SAR narratives.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects incl. QA alert dispositions, validation of the transaction monitoring system or any updates, training, etc..

What We Look For in You:

  • 3+ years experience in conducting AML related account activity analysis, due-diligence, and investigations in a financial services institution.
  • Strong writing, analytical and communications skills. Must be able to execute tasks within tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively with colleagues across regions and business units.
  • Should be a self-starter, organized, detail oriented, and results driven.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English is required.

Nice to Haves:

  • Prior experience working in a multi-national or matrix environment.
  • Knowledge with AML/CFT/Sanctions, money transmission regulations, and industry best practices.
